Materials are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the request and the availability of resources. However, we strive to maintain a 5-10 business-day turnaround for your materials.

By requesting alternate format materials, you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, and agree to the following:

· I am using the alternate format materials provided to me by the Accessible Technology Center solely for my own educational purposes.

· I understand that copying or reproducing books in any form to any person is strictly prohibited by law. Selling, copying, sharing, or redistributing the alternate format of any book violates the publisher’s rights and the terms of the Office of Accessibility Services’ qualifications.

· I understand that the contents of all alternate text formats are protected under copyright law in the same way that the original texts are protected.

· I agree that I will not copy or duplicate the alternate format material I receive from ATC for use by others, nor allow anyone else to copy or duplicate any copyrighted materials provided to me through the Accessible Technology Center.

· I understand that some book publishers may request my personal information (i.e. name and address) to complete my request for digital files or copyrighted material permissions. The Accessible Technology Center will only share my personal information with publishers if it is required to fulfill the request and only after receiving my permission. Student personal information is not required by most publishers.

· I understand that I own the alternate text formats for the same length of time that I own the original copy and that alternative formats of books rented and not purchased must be deleted or returned to the Accessible Technology Center when the original text is no longer in my possession. I also understand that publisher copyright permissions may require that alternative format materials be returned or deleted. I agree to return or delete the material I am provided by the ATC if requested.
